The sealed no leaks construction of the Model 625 hand powered Dry Vac delivers enormous vacuuming power. Easily achieve -10 in/hg and greater. That's the equivalent of over 135" of water lift using the standard sealed suction water lift test for centrifugal blower vacuum cleaners.

The Model 625 when tested using a in/hg vacuum gage easily achieved and held a  -10 in/hg that's more than 1/3 of an atmosphere. It was equipped with 24" of class 200 1 1/2 in. PVC pipe. Since this configuration has the most cubic inches of space to draw down with negative atmospheres, it makes for a good gauge test.

    1 atmosphere = 14.695948775 pounds per square inch

    1/3 of 14.695948775 = 4.898

    1.71 I.D. /2 = .855r

    (.855r x .855r) x 3.14159 (pi) = 2.29658

    4.898 psi x 2.29658 sq. in.  =  11.24866lbs.

 If this calculation is right that 11.2487 lbs.would be a lot of weight that could be held to the end of the 1.71 I.D. nozzle. Compare that to the world famous TV vacuum cleaner commercial that used a 16 pound bowling ball to prove their product and that was with a 6" cone so that created a larger area to apply vacuum over, still experts place the water lift of that vacuum at 65", so the model 625 is twice as powerful.

  Equipped with 12" of class 315 1/2" PVC pipe with a .700" I. D.  and using the dry vac kit's tank system, the model 625 dry vac can clean out a dry crevice of all loose material that will fit through the pipe, including GOLD, lead, BB's, bullets, iron, coarse black sand magnetite and there's no threat of abrasive wear to shorten the life of the vacuum.    

   The Model 625 is more like a "rocking piston pump", than not. So you can expect the sudden high vacuum produced at the nozzle to have far greater lift. No need to leave gold just laying there at the dig anymore because you didn't bring all of the right tools. Here it is, a hand powered dry vac that holds up under the threat of abrasive wear and won't loose vacuum or any values that you are trying to retrieve.
